The BA Antiquities Museum launches through its website and official pages on Facebook and Twitter, an educational initiative entitled “Object of the Day” that aims to introduce the public to the Museum’s unique collection by presenting detailed information and HD images of the chosen artifacts.
The BA Antiquities Museum houses 1133 artifacts, carefully curated to reflect the rich and multicultural history of Egypt that encompasses the Ancient Egyptian, Greek, Roman, Coptic and, Islamic civilizations, with a special focus on Alexandria and the Hellenistic period.
It is worth mentioning that the BA Cultural Outreach Sector has launched an initiative titled “Bringing the Library of Alexandria to you at Home”, as part of the efforts exerted by the Library to reach out to the public and convey its various activities remotely to Arab and Egyptian audiences. This initiative comes in line with the precautionary measures adopted by Egyptian state institutions to combat the spread of coronavirus.
