The BA Center for Coptic Studies has concluded the eighth International Summer School in Coptic Papyrology, which took place at the Egyptian Museum in Cairo from 26 September to 2 October, with the participation of a select group of researchers and specialists in papyrology and Coptic studies from Egypt and several European and international institutions and universities.
This round is of exceptional importance as it is the first time the school is held outside Europe, after European institutions hosted its previous rounds.
The school's program focused on the study of Coptic papyri, reading and analyzing texts, as well as the linguistic, textual, and material aspects of the documents. It also provided practical training on preparing and academically publishing papyrus texts.
