A lecture on the Ancient Egyptian Civilization

Alexandria, 31 January 2005—The Calligraphy Center at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina (BA) is organizing a lecture on the ancient Egyptian civilization, 2 February 2005, delivered by its Director, Professor Abdelhalim Nureldin, Dean, Faculty of Archeology, Cairo University (Fayoum Branch).

Professor Nureldin will shed light on ancient Egyptian architecture, manifested in their monuments and antiquities, which reflects their advances in arts and sculpturing. He will also discuss their contribution in the fields of astronomy, literature and maritime development, as well as the diplomatic, commercial and cultural relations between ancient Egypt and the neighboring cities.

The lecture takes place in the West Hall, BA Conference Center, at 12:00 noon.
