Dr. Moustafa Elfeki, Director of the Library of Alexandria, visited Khadija Palace in Helwan (an offsite affiliated to the Library), and checked its communal and cultural activities, as well as its computer labs.
He said that Khadija Palace had become a microcosm of the Library of Alexandria, and a cultural hub in its geographical vicinity, calling for more cooperation with Helwan University, schools, and civil organizations. He also highlighted the role of the Library in the dissemination of culture and knowledge everywhere.
The main building of Khadija Palace is located on a 500-square-meter area, with a 300-square-meter west wing, and a 200-square-meter north wing.
The Palace, which dates back to more than 125 years, comprises 50 halls, ranging from 25 to 100 square meters, and the main hall can accommodate up to 120 visitors.
