“Egypt Is Changing” Conference at the BA

Dr. Moustafa Elfeki, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, along with Dr. Nevine El-Kabbaj, Minister of Social Solidarity, and General Mohamed El-Sherif, Governor of Alexandria, will inaugurate “Egypt Is Changing” Conference, organized by the Bibliotheca Alexandrina on Wednesday, 10 March 2021, at 4:00 pm, in the BACC Small Theater.
The conference will tackle the development projects adopted by the Egyptian state to improve the quality of life in the Egyptian society, in addition to highlighting a number of community-based development initiatives.
Dr. Elfeki said that this conference offers a sincere national vision for building the future, and draws attention to the role of Egyptians in the process of reform and development. He added that the Bibliotheca Alexandrina is actively contributing to the national scene, advocating a new era of nation-building in various fields and domains. Being aware of these endeavors, Egyptians feel that their country is on the right path of change and transformation.
In its first session, the conference will discuss the recent projects carried out by the Egyptian state such as Decent Life (Hayah Karima) Project, the Takaful and Karama Project, rural development projects (including those implemented in Upper Egypt), together with the country’s plan to combat poverty. The second session will witness a dialogue between intellectuals, academics, and members of parliament on the future of development work and the enhancement of the quality of life in Egypt.
