The BA Celebrates Orphans’ Day

The Bibliotheca Alexandrina is organizing an event in celebration of the Orphans’ Day, which takes place on Thursday, 31 March 2022, at 10:00 am, at Khadija Palace in Helwan. The celebration is held for the third consecutive year, in cooperation with a number of civil organizations and orphanages, and includes several cultural and artistic events, in addition to theatrical performances, workshops, and film screenings. Nominal prizes and gifts will be handed out to the participants.
Orphans’ Day was launched in 2004 in Egypt, adopted in the Arab region in 2006, and later recognized worldwide.
All events are held in line with the precautionary measures adopted by the BA to combat the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
