The BA Special Needs Program Unit is celebrating the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, on Tuesday, 13 December 2022, at 11:00 am, in the BACC Great Hall.

The celebration sheds light on a group of talented people with special needs through presenting their different artistic performances, as the Library aims to highlight their capabilities and provide them with various services, especially for children.

The celebration’s program includes various activities, most notably a marionette show, a sea scouts show, a singing performance and poetry recitation, in addition to a folk arts show, a black light theater show, a clown show, and a theatrical show. The ceremony ends with the distribution of gifts to talented participants with special needs.

It is worth noting that this celebration comes on the occasion of the annual celebration of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on December 3, which has been designated by the United Nations since 1992 to support individuals with special needs and raise community awareness about their rights, with an aim of integrating them into the various areas of life.
