A Cooperation Agreement between the BA and the Arab Academy for Science and Technology

Prof. Ahmed Zayed, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, and Prof. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar, President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT), signed a cooperation agreement between the two institutions.
Prof. Zayed said that the BA is keen to establish exchange and cooperative relations between various Egyptian universities, a cooperation that includes services provided by the Library, such as training programs and research opportunities. He also pointed out that the Library is currently establishing Embassies of Knowledge at Egyptian universities, and has recently started setting up ones at private universities.
For his part, Prof. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar stressed the importance of AASTMT’s collaboration with the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, the beacon of science and knowledge in Egypt and the world.
Additionally, Prof. Abdel Ghaffar presented Prof. Zayed with the Arab Academy’s Golden Jubilee Shield, and was gifted a number of BA publications.
