A Free Seminar on Open Science at the BA

The BA Center for Special Studies and Programs (CSSP) is organizing a free seminar entitled “Open Science: Unlocking Barriers to Research”, on Tuesday, 23 May 2023, at 11:00 am, in the BACC Delegates Hall.

The seminar discusses the concept of open science and its importance in providing universal access to knowledge, as well as the role of regional and international institutions in upholding these rights, which help support researchers, especially in developing countries.

The seminar will be delivered by a host of prominent scholars, including Prof. Abdel Aziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University and former Governor of Alexandria; Prof. Mahmoud Sakr, President of the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology (ASRT); Prof. Amr Adel Adly, President of Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology (E-JUST); and Dr. Nizar Hassan, UNESCO’s Senior Science and Technology Advisor for the Arab States. It will be moderated by Prof. Yousry El-Gamal, former Minister of Education.

The seminar is free and open for public.
