The BA is displaying its most recent publications at the 18th round of its international Book Fair, held from 12 to 26 July 2023, in cooperation with the General Egyptian Book Organization and the Egyptian and Arab Publishers Association.

Among the latest publications that will be presented by the Bibliotheca Alexandrina at the Fair is the book Military and Physicians in Saite Egypt, written by Dr. Hussein Abdel Bassir, with a foreword by Dr. Mostafa El-Feki. The book examines the concept of biography in ancient Egypt in a new light, and explains the motives for portraying the nobility in these literary and artistic works during the Saite period, namely the era of the twenty-sixth dynasty (526-664 BC), or the beginning of the Late Period of ancient Egypt.

The Book Fair will also feature the book Articles on Islamic Monuments and Civilization, which was recently published in two volumes by the BA Center for Islamic Civilization Studies. The book includes the complete works of the pioneer of Islamic archaeology studies, Dr. Hassan Abdel Wahab, and aims to highlight the achievements of the great Egyptian pioneers in archeology and Islamic civilization.

In addition, the Library will also present the youth series Heritage of Mankind, published under the supervision of Prof. Ahmed Abdullah Zayed, Director of the BA. This series aims to increase the awareness of Egyptian youth about their intellectual and artistic heritage, and enrich their knowledge of inspiring Egyptian figures in various fields by shedding light on the challenges, difficulties and successes that accompanied these figures throughout their lifetime.

It is worth mentioning that the BA is dedicating a large section to showcasing its periodical publications, most notably Marased and Awraq series, as well as The Memory of Egypt and The Memory of Arabs magazines. Abgadiyat, an annual international scientific peer-reviewed periodical published by the BA Writing and Scripts Center, and the Coptic Notebooks series are also part of the BA collection displayed at the Fair.
