The Inauguration of “First Time #30” Exhibition

The Bibliotheca Alexandrina witnessed yesterday the inauguration of "First Time #30" exhibition, at 2:00 pm, in the BACC East Exhibition Hall.
Dr. Ahmed Zayed, Director of the BA, said that there is a tendency at the BA to focus on young people from a diverse range of backgrounds who have great potential, pointing out that Egyptians have a tremendous capacity for innovation and creativity in many fields.
He also mentioned that, as of next year, the BA will expand the competitions with financial prizes for young people, covering art, novels, theater, poetry, short stories and reading, and asserted that this initiative will be an essential part of the Library's future activities.
Dr. Gamal Hosny, Director of the BA Art Exhibitions and Collections Department, said that the “First Time” exhibition is different from “Agenda” exhibition as it features all types of art, but focuses on another form of performance. He noted that the exhibition sheds light on the integrated artistic experience by providing an opportunity for promising young artists to showcase their artistic creations within the framework of a professional art show.
"First Time #30" exhibition runs until Saturday, 9 September, 2023, daily from 9:30 am to 7:00 pm, except Fridays, and is open on Saturdays from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, in the BACC East Exhibition Hall.
