The BA Donates 70 of its Publications to the National Library of Peru

The Bibliotheca Alexandrina donated 70 of its publications that tackle the history of Egypt and its most prominent landmarks to the National Library of Peru.

This came during a donation ceremony organized by the BA yesterday evening, where Dr. Ahmed Zayed, Director of the BA, handed over the publications to Mr. José Betancourt Rivera, Ambassador of Peru to Egypt.

Dr. Ahmed Zayed stressed that the BA is keen to cooperate in all areas of culture with Peru, pointing out that the BA is ready to host any Peruvian cultural events.

For his part, Mr. José Betancourt Rivera thanked the BA, on behalf of the government of Peru, for donating its publications to the National Library of Peru.

He also mentioned that the Peruvian Embassy is looking forward to holding cultural events in cooperation with the BA, pointing out that these publications will be useful for the Peruvian people in order to learn about the Egyptian ancient and present-day civilization.
