Saroukhan and the Golden Jubilee of the October War in a Celebration at Sinnari House

The BA Sinnari House in Cairo will host the celebration and exhibition "125 Years since the Birth of Saroukhan and the Golden Jubilee of the October War Victory", organized by the Caricature Memory Project of the Abdullah Al-Sawy Foundation for the Preservation of Egyptian Caricature Heritage, from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm, on Saturday, 14 October 2023. The exhibition runs till the end of October.
The celebration presents a range of activities and events, including a commemorative exhibition entitled "Portraits of Alexandria", which features more than one hundred caricature portraits by Saroukhan of a group of Egyptian and foreign figures who lived in Alexandria in the mid-twenties. The exhibition also comprises a collection of rare original caricatures by Saroukhan about the October victory, which are on public display for the first time, in celebration of the golden jubilee of the glorious October War.
The celebration is held on the occasion of the 125th anniversary of the birth of the Armenian-Egyptian caricaturist, Alexander Saroukhan (1898-1977).
The celebration is free and open to the public.
