“Challenges of Humanitarian Relief in Gaza” in a Seminar at the BA

The BA Center for Strategic Studies organizes a seminar entitled “Challenges of Humanitarian Relief in Gaza”, on Wednesday, 17 January 2024, at 10:00 am, in the BACC Delegates Hall.

The seminar focuses on the Egyptian role in supporting humanitarian relief operations in Gaza and the challenges faced by the UN, regional organizations and NGOs. It also aims to present different approaches and perceptions on the challenges of the humanitarian relief operation in Gaza, amidst the interest in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and the catastrophic humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, which is regarded as the “case of all cases” not only in the Arab region, but in the whole world as well.

The seminar will begin with a speech by Prof. Ahmed Zayed, Director of the BA, and will be moderated by Ambassador Dr. Mohamed Al-Orabi, former Minister of Foreign Affairs. It will witness the participation of Ambassador Dr. Haifa Abu Ghazaleh, Assistant Secretary-General and Head of the Social Affairs Sector at the Arab League; MP Dr. Talaat Abdel Qawi, Chairman of the General Union of NGOs and Civil Society Organizations and member of the National Alliance for Civil Development Work; Dr. Ayman Al-Raqab, Professor of Political Science at Al-Quds Open University; and Dr. Mohamed Al-Refai, CEO of Misr El-Kheir Foundation.
