Posted on

Under the patronage of Prof. Ahmed Abdullah Zayed, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, the BA Center of Francophone Activities is celebrating the International Francophonie Day through an annual conference held this year under the title "Towards a Peaceful, Safe, and Sustainable World.” The celebration takes place on Wednesday and Thursday, 28 and 29 February 2024, in the BACC Small Theater.

The conference will shed light on the modern challenges facing the world, which lead to massive violations of human rights. It will also highlight the efforts of governments, international organizations, and civil society to address and resolve these global challenges by modern and innovative peaceful means. In this regard, five main aspects will be discussed during the conference: culture and education, health and food security, information and media, rights and democracy, economy and environment.

A host of Francophone ambassadors, consuls, experts, and scholars will take part in the conference, either in person or via video conferencing. Lectures will be delivered in French.
