In celebration of the ninety-fourth anniversary of the birth of the famous Alexandrian artist and director Shadi Abdel Salam, the BA Sinnari House in Cairo is organizing a seminar and an exhibition showcasing the legacy of his unique artistic works. The event is held on Thursday, 7 March 2024, at 6:00 pm.

Shadi Abdel Salam was one of the most distinguished film directors in Egypt and the Middle East. His only feature film The Mummy (The Night of Counting the Years) was highly acclaimed by international filmmakers.

He devoted his life to his art, and was a teacher to several artists, costume designers, and set designers who later rose to prominence in the cinematic field. His art is still a reference today for specialists and art students specializing in historical works.

The BA takes pride in its permanent exhibition "The World of Shadi Abdel Salam", which features nearly 350 original artworks produced throughout his artistic career.

Actress Sawsan Badr, art director Onsi Abou Seif, and filmmaker Magdy Abdel Rahman will take part in the seminar, in the presence of a group of specialists and fine arts students.
