The BA Serageldin Institute for Multidisciplinary Advanced Research “SIMAR Institute” concluded the third round of the "Steps Toward Excellence in Analytics and Writing" (STEAR) summer internship for the year 2025, as part of its strategy to support scientific research and build youth capacities.
This year, the program witnessed a significant expansion in its activities. Two intensive training rounds were held during the period from July to October 2025. The program aims to prepare a new generation of distinguished researchers capable of keeping pace with global developments in the fields of big data and scientific research, by providing graduates and postgraduate students with the necessary technical and analytical skills. The training curriculum included practical applications of the latest statistical analysis and data science techniques, including programming languages, database handling, statistical modeling software, and data representation and visualization techniques.
The program is characterized by the application of the "peer education" methodology, which relies on the exchange of knowledge and mutual explanation among researchers to deepen understanding and consolidate the culture of teamwork. In addition to the technical component, the program covers advanced academic writing, international publishing mechanisms, and scientific peer-reviewing stages. The program has yielded outstanding research outcomes, with participants including teaching assistants, researchers, and masters and doctoral degree holders, successfully preparing solid research papers that will later be published.
To complement this success, the program continues to accept new researchers, students, and young talents in its upcoming rounds, which are held periodically every summer to ensure sustainable development and empower promising energies.
