The BA Planetarium Science Center is organizing the Egyptian finals of the 2025–2026 FIRST LEGO League Challenge, embarking on a new journey dedicated to supporting scientific creativity and shaping the future.
The event will take place at the BA from 21-23 April 2026, with broad participation from students and educational institutions involved in robotics education and the promotion of a culture of innovation.
This season’s FIRST LEGO League Discover and Explore competitions were held last February, with the participation of hundreds of children taking their first steps into the world of science and technology through an interactive educational experience that fosters a spirit of discovery and a love of learning from an early age.
This year’s FIRST LEGO League Challenge features 110 teams (for the age group 9 to 16) representing 12 Egyptian governorates, with the participation of large number of schools and educational centers. The event is being held with professional organization, featuring 80 judges—experts and specialists—to evaluate the students’ projects, and more than 350 volunteers to organize the events and support the participating teams, ensuring the competition meets the highest international standards.
The 2025–2026 season is titled UNEARTHED™, a global theme focused on archaeology and exploring the past to understand the present and build the future.
The challenge features fierce competition among participating teams, as students work to develop innovative solutions across four main categories: Core Values, Innovation Project, Robot Design, and Robot Programming.
It is worth noting that the national championship offers outstanding teams the opportunity to represent Egypt in international FIRST LEGO League Challenge tournaments and fairs, including open tournaments around the world, thereby enhancing students’ experiences and supporting Egypt’s presence in international scientific forums.
