The BA Releases The Muslim Conquest of Egypt on “Aref” Platform

The BA Center for Documentation of Cultural and Natural Heritage has launched the film The Muslim Conquest of Egypt on “Aref” digital platform. The film documents pivotal historical moments in Egypt’s history, serving as a bridge between the present and the past. The scenes take the viewer back to the 10th of Dhul Hijjah in the year 18 AH, when the takbir of Eid coincided with the first steps of the Islamic conquest led by the Arab commander Amr ibn al-As.
The film details the daring adventure undertaken by the Muslim commander Amr ibn al-As with an army of only about 4,000 fighters to confront one of the greatest military powers of that time: the Byzantine army. It highlights the historical path taken by the army, the very same path previously blessed by the footsteps of the Prophets, the Virgin Mary, and Jesus.
