The “Re-issuing the Classics of the Islamic Heritage in the 19th and 20th centuries (13th and 14th Hijri centuries)” project aims to introduce selections of modern Islamic heritage and the writings of prominent reformists in this period. The time period was chosen specially to refute the prevailing misconception that the contributions of Muslim scientists and thinkers did not go beyond a certain period of time. The project seeks to produce a comprehensive collection of these titles and make them available to the public in both printed and digital forms. It also aims to translate these works into English and French in an attempt to bridge the gap between the West and the Islamic World. The BA has so far released 22 titles of the “Islamic Reform Thought” series within the project.
