The BA Antiquities Museum is organizing this lecture, which will be delivered by Dr. Suzanne Onstine, Director of the University of Memphis Mission at Theban Tomb 16 (Panehsy); and the Associate Professor, Department of History at the University of Memphis, USA. She will discuss an overview of the work done in Theban tomb 16 since 2007. The tomb originally dates to the reign of Ramesses II with significant use in the Third Intermediate Period, possibly extending up to the Greco-Roman period. Her work includes epigraphy of the painted plaster reliefs, clearance of the looted secondary burials, the analysis of human remains, and study of objects. Additionally, significant finds and interpretations will be presented related to the tomb owner and occupants throughout her lecture.
