A Ceremony marking 170 years since the death of Boghos Bek Yousefian, the First Minister of External Affairs in Egypt, held in cooperation with the Armenian Patriarchate and the Embassy of Armenia in Cairo.


The Seminar features a panoramic presentation of the history Egyptian Armenians through inscriptions, delivered by Professor Mohamed Refaat Al-Imam. The seminar is followed by a session during which a group of professors present their research papers on Armenian writings and inscriptions in Egypt; Armenian translators and their role in the dissemination of languages and literature in modern Egypt; Boghos Bek in "Memoirs of Nubar Pasha"; and the history of Suez Canal through historical writings.
