Course Description: HS118 Hellenistic Architecture and the Topography of Alexandria. This course aims at exploring the various forms of architectural tradition as an expression of the Hellenistic mentality. There will be a special focus on innovation trends in styles, methods and materials in different parts of the Hellenistic world. The students’ ability to document buildings or architectural elements according to style, technique and place of production will be developed.
