The BA Organizes an International Symposium Commemorating 500 Years of Leonardo da Vinci

The BA, in collaboration with the Italian Embassy in Cairo, the Italian Cultural Institute in Cairo, and the National Museum of Science and Technology in Italy, organizes an international symposium commemorating 500 years of Leonardo da Vinci, on Wednesday, 4 September 2019, from 10:30 am to 5:00 pm, in the BACC Lecture Hall. The symposium coincides with several events held around the world to celebrate this great historical figure and his various contributions in the fields of art and science.

A number of experts from Egypt and Italy will take part in the symposium, including Dr. Giovanni Lani, Editor of the Italian Newspaper Il Resto del Carlino, Artist and Ophthalmologist Dr. Farid Fadel, Dr. Riccardo Magnani, Economic Expert and Renaissance Researcher, Dr. Paolo Vanino from the Italian Cultural Center, and Italian Artist Carlo Simoni. Dr. Paolo Sabatini, Director of the Italian Cultural Center in Cairo, will participate in the symposium via video conferencing.

The symposium will be accompanied by an exhibition on Da Vinci's scientific work, with photographs from the model collection of the National Museum of Science and Technology in Italy.
