The Closing Ceremony of the BA Community Centers Competition

The BA Children and Young People's Libraries organized the closing ceremony of the second round of the Community Centers Competition "Who Will Win the Information?", in cooperation with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and Caritas Egypt. The event took place on Thursday morning, 21 December 2023, at the BACC Multipurpose Hall.
The competition was held among a group of community centers represented by eight teams, targeting children aged 9 – 14, in an attempt to enrich the general information of children and young people. The semi-finals were held earlier, while today’s ceremony was limited to the first and second place qualifiers only, and certificates of appreciation and a range of different gifts were handed out to the participants. Several workshops were also organized as part of the competition for the participating students, which aim to develop their skills and work to educate them in an innovative and enjoyable way. These workshops covered research skills, time management skills and the importance of teamwork.
