The BA Hosts MESPET's First International Conference

The Bibliotheca Alexandrina hosted today the first International Conference of the Middle East Society of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics, in the presence of Ms. Heba El-Rafey, Acting Head of the Library’s External Relations and Media Sector; Prof. Hesham Gaber, Vice President for Academic Affairs at Alamein International University; Prof. Alaa Abdel-Bary, Vice President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport; and Prof. Ahmed Al-Yazby, President of the Middle East Society of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics.

The conference featured a select group of leading international scientists and researchers from England, Tunisia, the United States, and Egypt in the fields of pharmacology and drug research to discuss neuropharmacology and cognitive disorders, precision therapeutics in oncology, drug repurposing, artificial intelligence applications in biomarker detection, toxicology and environmental health, and innovative drug delivery systems. It presented a genuine opportunity to build research partnerships, share expertise, and leverage these connections to identify the most effective therapeutic approaches.

The conference included poster sessions for young researchers and competitions for the most promising researchers, as part of the efforts exerted to support and develop emerging research talent in the region.
