With the Participation of the BA Director, the Egyptian Embassy in Rabat Hosts a Cultural Salon on the Impact of Digitization on the Formation of Arab Societies

The Egyptian Embassy in Rabat hosted the second edition of its cultural salon, which discussed the impact of digitization and algorithms on the formation of Arab societies. The salon was held in partnership with the Bibliotheca Alexandrina and the Mediterranean Forum for Youth in Morocco, with the participation of Dr. Ahmed Zayed, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, and H.E. Mr. Ahmed Nihad Abdel-Latif, Egypt’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Morocco.
The salon was also attended by ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions in the Kingdom of Morocco, as well as a select group of academics, intellectuals, writers, researchers, media professionals, and those interested in cultural and intellectual affairs. The session was moderated by Moroccan writer and media personality Dr. Mounia El-Mansour.
Dr. Ahmed Zayed discussed the social dimensions of digitization and algorithms, highlighting the transformations in values, social relations, and the mechanisms shaping public opinion and collective consciousness in the digital age.
He also noted that the first session of this cultural salon coincided with the Rabat International Book Fair and was dedicated to celebrating creative women in both Morocco and Egypt, highlighting their contributions to thought, culture, and creativity.
