The Bibliotheca Alexandrina will open tomorrow the “National Identity Conference: Deep Roots and Renewed Vision,” which is held under the patronage of H.E. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. The 3-day event will take place at the Library, from 21 to 23 September, in collaboration with the Ministries of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Youth and Sports, Culture, and Alexandria governorate.
The conference will be inaugurated by Prof. Abdelaziz Konsowa, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Acting Minister of Culture, on behalf of Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly; Major General Dr. Khaled Fouda, Advisor to the President for Local Development; and Eng. Ayman Attia, Governor of Alexandria. The event will also be attended by ministers, lawmakers, university presidents, heads of public authorities and institutions, media professionals, intellectuals, university professors, and youth.
The National Identity conference comes as part of the State's efforts to achieve a true renaissance in Egyptian society and make a leap in the path of progress, discussing the importance of instilling the values of Egyptian identity, especially among younger generations, and how to preserve them.
It is set to include scholarly sessions and panels of discussion, featuring ministers, experts, writers, researchers, and artists. The final day of the conference will feature a closing session to present the recommendations, followed by a concert performed by the Bibliotheca Alexandrina Orchestra.
