Advisor to the President of Romania Visits the BA

Dr. Ahmed Zayed, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, has welcomed today Mr. Dacian Cioloș, Presidential Advisor and former Prime Minister of Romania, along with a high-level delegation that included H.E. Ms. Olivia Toderean, Romania’s Ambassador to Egypt.
During their meeting, Dr. Zayed discussed the services the Library provides to readers, researchers, and visitors, introduced its museums, exhibitions, and digital services, and highlighted its role in knowledge management and the preservation and digitization of heritage.
Mr. Dacian Cioloș expressed his deep admiration for the Bibliotheca Alexandrina and the treasures of knowledge it houses. He presented the Library with a number of publications in both Arabic and French.
The Presidential Advisor and the accompanying delegation took a tour of the Library and its halls.
