The BA Releases the 58th Issue of Memory of Egypt Magazine

The Bibliotheca Alexandrina has released the 58th issue of Memory of Egypt magazine, which features a diverse collection of studies and topics that explore important aspects of Egypt’s cultural, social, scientific, and political history, and highlights figures and institutions that have had a significant impact on shaping the country’s national memory. In the publication’s editorial, Dr. Ahmed Zayed, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, discusses the centennial of the late philosopher Dr. Murad Wahba. The issue also includes articles on the Zizinia Theater in Alexandria, marking the 159th anniversary of its founding, together with the history of tram companies in Egypt from their establishment to their transformation into an integral part of the Egyptian urban landscape.

The issue is celebrating the 155th anniversary of the founding of Dar El-Kotob, highlighting the journey of this prestigious institution and its role in preserving the nation’s intellectual and cultural heritage. It also presents articles on pioneering Egyptian women and leading political figures, and articles on Egyptian social and cultural history.

The magazine is edited by Dr. Sameh Fawzy, with researcher Iman Al-Khatib serving as editorial secretary.
