The BA Antiquities Museum is organizing the 9th annual cultural forum: “Our Cultural Heritage: A Vision to the Future,” under the theme “North Sinai’s Archaeological and Cultural Treasures,” on Wednesday and Thursday, 1 and 2 July 2026. An exhibition and a workshop titled “Embroidery: An Unmistakable Sinai Signature” will be held on the sidelines of the event.
The symposium will highlight the importance of North Sinai as Egypt’s eastern gateway and a strategic center that has played a pivotal role in defense and trade throughout the ages. It will address two main themes: The first explores the history and heritage of North Sinai across various civilizations, from Ancient Egypt to the Islamic era, while the second examines the region’s religious and social heritage.
The symposium will also shed light on the authentic heritage of Sinai, most notably traditional crafts such as embroidery, weaving, pottery, and leather goods, as well as the customs and traditions associated with Bedouin community and camel races.
