“The Problematic Nature of the Village Concept in Contemporary Sociological Literature” in a Seminar at the BA

The Bibliotheca Alexandrina, in collaboration with the Center for Social Research and Studies at the Faculty of Arts, Cairo University, is organizing an online seminar titled “The Problematic Nature of the Village Concept in Contemporary Sociological Literature: Is It Credible?”, to be presented by Prof. Mohamed Mohy El-Din, Professor of Sociology at Menofia University, and moderated by Prof. Ahmed Zayed, Professor of Sociology and Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, on 8 July, at 6:00 pm.
This lecture is part of a series of online seminars organized by the Sustainable Development Studies, Youth Capacity Building, and African Relations Support Program titled “Arab Rural Spaces in a Changing World.” This is the second installment of the “Social Sciences in a Changing World” series, which was launched by the Bibliotheca Alexandrina in 2024.
