The BA Receives a Group of Children and Youth from Border Provinces

The Bibliotheca Alexandrina has welcomed a group of children and youth from border provinces as part of the summer initiative launched by the National Council for Childhood and Motherhood, led by Dr. Sahar Al-Sonbaty, under the patronage of Eng. Ayman Attia, Governor of Alexandria.
The group was welcomed by Dr. Marwa El-Wakil, Acting Head of the Academic Research Sector; Ms. Heba El-Rafey, Acting Head of the External Relations and Media Sector; Ms. Rania Nofal, Director of the Women Studies and Social Transformation Program; and Ms. Yasmine Samir, Director of the Library’s Visits Department. They were accompanied by Dr. Omaima El-Sheikh, General Supervisor of the National Council for Childhood and Motherhood’s Alexandria Office.
The group included 60 children from Halayeb, Abu Ramad, and Shalateen in the Red Sea Governorate, as well as children from the New Valley Governorate.
The purpose of the visit was to introduce the children to the Bibliotheca Alexandrina and its cultural and scientific role through a tour of its most notable highlights.
