The Bibliotheca Alexandrina, headed by Dr. Ahmed Zayed, extends its deepest condolences to the Library’s BoT member Ms. Samia Nkrumah, on the loss of her brother, journalist Gamal Nkrumah, son of the African leader Kwame Nkrumah, who passed away in Cairo.
The late Gamal Nkrumah co-founded Al-Ahram Weekly newspaper, one of the most prominent English-language publications of Al-Ahram Foundation. Over four decades of journalistic work, the late Nkrumah became an expert in African affairs and one of the most notable analysts specializing in the continent's issues and reporting from Cairo.
