Signing of Agreement to Establish “BA House of Innovation and Knowledge” in Borg El Arab

The Bibliotheca Alexandrina and the New Borg El Arab City Authority, affiliated with the Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, have signed a contract to allocate a 25-acre piece of land in New Borg El Arab for the establishment of the “Bibliotheca Alexandrina House of Innovation and Knowledge.” This new institution will act as a center for scientific research, knowledge, and creativity, enriching the cultural and scientific life and serving the city's residents and the West Alexandria region. The ceremony was attended by Dr. Ahmed Zayed, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, Eng. Mohamed Khairy, Assistant Vice President of the New Urban Communities Authority, and Dr. Ahmed Emara, Supervisor of the Real Estate Affairs Sector at the New Urban Communities Authority.
Dr. Ahmed Zayed said that signing the contract for allocating a piece of land in New Borg El Arab to establish the “Bibliotheca Alexandrina House of Innovation and Knowledge” represents an important step towards creating a new scientific and cultural edifice, pointing out that it is a result of the fruitful cooperation between the Library, the Ministry of Housing, the New Urban Communities Authority, and Borg El Arab City Authority.
