The BA Narrative Review organizes a seminar to discuss Alexandrian Writer Diaa El-Din Khalifa’s novel Horus and the Riddles of Ancient History on Tuesday, 30 October 2018, at 7:00 pm, in the BACC Meeting Room C. The novel received the Naguib Mahfouz Medal for Literature in Ibdaa competition, which was organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports in 2017, and had recently caused an intellectual property rights controversy after an Arab writer was accused of stealing it. It will be discussed by Critic Kamal El-lahib and Critic Manal Youssef, and the seminar will be moderated by Writer Monir Otaiba, Supervisor of the BA Narrative Review.

Diaa El-Din Khalifa is a young writer from Alexandria and student at Alexandria University, and Horus and the Riddles of Ancient History is his first novel. He has won the first place several times in short-story writing competitions across universities in Egypt, and has been honored by the Authors and Writers Society in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
