The Johns Hopkins University

The Johns Hopkins University, founded in 1876, is a private institution of higher learning located in Baltimore, Maryland, United States. Johns Hopkins offers its main undergraduate and graduate programs at the Homewood campus in Baltimore and maintains full-time campuses in greater Maryland, Washington, D.C., Italy, and China. Johns Hopkins is particularly regarded for its hospital and schools of medicine and international studies. The Johns Hopkins Hospital was ranked as the top hospital in the United States for the sixteenth year in a row by the U.S. News and World Report annual ranking of American hospitals for medical research.

The USAID (Takamol Project)

In March, 2006, Pathfinder was awarded a contract from USAID to carryout a new five-year project in Egypt known as Takamol. Named after the Arabic word for "integration," Takamol promotes an integrated model for strengthening maternal/child health, family planning, and reproductive health services. As the culmination of nearly three decades of USAID assistance to Egypt in these areas, Takamol is working to prepare the Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population to fully support and sustain these services as USAID phases out its assistance.
