Ibn Muqla's Works in a Lecture at the BA

Alexandria— The BA Calligraphy Center will organize on Sunday, 13 May 2007, a series of lectures entitled "Pioneers of Arabic Calligraphy". The series will start with a lecture on Ibn Muqla, the renowned Calligrapher.

Mohamed Roteil, Head of Arabic Calligraphy Unit, will give the lecture focusing on important works and achievements of Ibn Muqla. It is worth mentioning that Ibn Muqla is the Abbasid Wazir Abu Ali Muhammad ibn Muqla, known as Imam of Calligraphers, was born in 272 AH, and died in 328 AH.

The lecture will start at 12:00 hrs. at the BA Auditorium
