The BA Celebrates the Launch of the 99 Comic Superheroes Magazine

The BA will organize a celebration on Thursday, 31 May 2007, on the occasion of he launch of the 99 Comic Superheroes Magazine. The BA will host Dr. Naif Al Mutawa, the founder and CEO of Teshkeel Media Group, a Kuwait- based company that focuses primarily on creative media content for Islamic children and young adults. Dr. Naif Al- Mutawa created The 99, a superhero concept based on Islamic history and culture.
The concept of The 99 grew out of the identification of a significant void in children’s media in the Islamic world. Parents have long been aware of the lack of positive Islamic role models and heroes to whom their children can relate. The concept of The 99 is one that taps the psychology of the Pokemon and superhero lover, alike.
The celebration will start at 12:00 at the Lectures Hall, BA Conference Center.
