Lectures on Whales at the BA

Posted on

Alexandria— The Planetarium and Science Center (PSC) will organize a lecture on Sunday, 24 June 2007, entitled "Whales", by Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Ibrahim, Professor of Marine Biology, National Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries (NIOF).

The lecture discusses whales, which belong to mammals and are very wit, as they have very complicated brains more than any other mammals, except humans. Whales are found in oceans, open seas, some tropical rives, and lakes. Whales are warm blooded, unlike fish, which are cold blooded; they change their body temperature according to their environment.

The lecture will start at 12:00 hrs. at the BA Auditorium.
