The book is a series of historic studies, a journey through time and space, especially during the fourteenth century, reviewing the most important political events and state of affairs at the time of Ibn Khaldun, as well as the political, social, and economic turbulences in the Mediterranean which shaped our modern age.

Dr. Khaled Azab, Director of the Media Department, stated that the cooperation between the BA, the (ALECSO), and the National Council for Culture, Arts, and Heritage in Qatar to issue the Arabic translation of this valuable book is only an inception of the ongoing fruitful cooperation between the three organizations. He added that the cooperation between the ALECSO and the Fundacion El Legado Andalusi in Spain in celebrating Ibn Khaldun proves the continuous mutual exchange between Spain and the Arabs.
