Urban Planning of Cities in a Lecture at the BA

Alexandria— The BA will organize on Saturday, 25 August 2007, a lecture on Urban planning of cities, by Dr. Salah El-Gohary, former Senior Advisor, UN World Meteorological Organization and chaired by Dr. Salah Soliman, Advisor to the BA Director.

The lecture explains the concept of contemporary urban planning through focusing on number of theories and planning methods. The lecture will also shed light on most pressing urban problems in modern cities, such as over population, high population density, use and allocation of lands, traffic and transportation, visual and environmental pollution, populated areas, and preservation of urban and architectural heritage.

The lecture will start at 17:00 hrs. at the Multipurpose Hall, BA Conference Center.
