Art Miles Mural Exhibition at the BA

Posted on

Alexandria—The BA Arts Center, in cooperation with the American Center in Alexandria, holds an Exhibition entitled “Art Miles Mural” from 28 to 31 October 2009.

The Exhibition combines the efforts to build a foundation for sustainable education and cultural awareness through arts. The colorful murals represent the voices of children, youth and adults who have created a visual documentation of modern history and social issues such as environment, multiculturalism and children’s rights.

Art Mural is held within the Art Miles Mural Project, a 12 year worldwide movement to promote global peace and harmony mile by mile across borders. The Project supports the International Decade for the Culture of Peace and Non Violence of Children of the World (2001- 2010).

The Exhibition will travel to other countries following its debut in Egypt. An Exhibition is also scheduled for the International Day of Peace on 21 September 2010, at or near an Egyptian World Cultural Heritage Site.

The Exhibition is held at the BACC East Exhibitions Hall, and is open for public.
