The BA Center for Special Studies and Programs (CSSP) and the Sustainable Development Studies, Youth Capacity Building, and African Relations Support Program are organizing a series of lectures that aim to tackle coronavirus from different perspectives that focus on the fourth industrial revolution's technological role in combating this pandemic. The lectures will also discuss the environmental aspects and the issues of sustainable development related to coronavirus.

The first lecture will be held on Sunday, 3 May 2020, at 12:00 pm, and is titled “Artificial Intelligence in the Face of the Coronavirus Pandemic.” It will be delivered by Dr. Alaa Khamis, an AI Expert and a Lecturer at the University of Toronto. It will examine the ways in which Artificial Intelligence can be used to address the coronavirus pandemic and help handle its consequences.

The lecture will be delivered online, as part of the BA efforts to offer its cultural and scientific services remotely to the public, to help prevent the spread of coronavirus.
