School Visits to Princess Khadija Palace Begin

The BA Princess Khadija Palace in Helwan has started its program of school visits for all academic levels, in coordination with the Directorate of Education in Cairo and various education departments.
The visit program includes a tour of the Palace to introduce students to its history as well as the life of Princess Khadija and her family, and highlight its role as a beacon of art and culture in the district of Helwan. In addition, the tour provides a visit to the Palace exhibitions, such as "The Workshop" exhibition – an exhibition that features the artworks produced by the trainees enrolled in different art workshops at the Palace – together with the exhibition "Glimpses of the October War Victory", which is presented as part of Egypt's celebrations of the fiftieth anniversary of the October War victory, and displays a large number of photographs that document the efforts of the Egyptian army in preparation for the War, starting from 1967 until the great victory in October 1973. The exhibition "Masterpieces of Arabic Calligraphy", which showcases a number of Arabic calligraphy panels that reveal various scripts and motifs executed by a group of prominent Egyptian calligraphers, is also part of the tour.
At the end of the tour, students will attend a handicraft workshop, with the aim of raising awareness of the modern methods of learning and their importance in producing a new generation of children and young people who have received genuine care that helps demonstrate their abilities and creativity.
