The BA Launches the First Arabic Edition of the Film History of Space in Russia

The BA Planetarium Science Center launched the first Arabic version of the film History of Space in Russia, produced by the Russian Planetarium Association, on the occasion of the sixtieth anniversary of the successful experience of Russian cosmonaut Valentina Tereshkova, the first female cosmonaut to fly in space, only two years after the flight of the first cosmonaut in the world, the Russian Yuri Gagarin. It is worth noting that the PSC displays a bronze bust of Yuri Gagarin at the entrance of the Center’s screening room, as a reminder to Library visitors of this remarkable human achievement.
On this occasion, the Russian Planetarium Association produced a film (in Fulldome format) that tells the story of humanity and the ambition to explore the outer space, highlighting all the technical difficulties of the beginning of the space exploration era.
The Russian Planetarium Association chose the BA Planetarium Center to launch the first Arabic version of this film due to the role played by the Center in the dissemination of scientific culture in general, and astronomical culture in particular.
This project, which runs until 2024, will undoubtedly be the beginning of a broader collaboration between the BA Planetarium Science Center and the Russian Planetarium Association in the future, to produce new films that illuminate the paths of knowledge and science.
