The Bibliotheca Alexandrina signed yesterday morning a cooperation agreement with Alexandria University regarding the Alexandria Center for Hellenistic Studies, in the presence of Dr. Ahmed Zayed, Director of the BA, and Prof. Abdel Aziz Konsowa, President of Alexandria University. This agreement is an extension to the memorandum of understanding signed by both parties in 2007, which resulted in the establishment of the Alexandria Center for Hellenistic Studies.

Dr. Zayed expressed his delight at this extended cooperation between the university and the BA, as he highlighted the importance of the Alexandria Center for Hellenistic Studies to researchers, adding that the Library is in the process of expanding its activities with the university.

In his speech, Dr. Abdel Aziz Konsowa stated that the BA is the beacon of the Egyptian state and that Alexandria University is an extension to it. He also referred to a partnership with the Library to establish a college for graduate studies.
