Musical and cultural events in March

Alexandria, 3 March 2005—The Bibliotheca Alexandrina Arts Center is organizing various musical and cultural events in March 2005, that comprise a music concert by the BA Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Maestro Sherif Mohie Eldin. A violin and piano recital will also be held, featuring Shady Abdelsalam and Sherif Milad on violin and Amir Awad on piano, playing works of Beethoven and Saint Saens.
In addition, the Spanish Guitar Week, organized in cooperation with Instituto Cervantes, will be held from 12-19 March. It will feature musicians from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Mexico, Peru and Venezuela.
On occasion of the International Women’s Day (8 March) and Egyptian Women’s Day (16 March), the BA Arts Center is organizing a week dedicated to the films of Inas El Degheidy, the Egyptian female director, where two films will be presented daily from 8-16 March.
