100 Days—100 Imachinations

Alexandria, 21 August 2005—“100 Days—100 Imachinations” is the title of the spectacular projection the Bibliotheca Alexandrina (BA) is currently organizing and planning to screen, 28 August – 6 December 2005. The show is created by the eminent German artist, Tim Otto Roth, and aims to throw light on the relationship between machines and the human imagination. This project comes within the scope of the BA’s aim to catch up with the digital age.

“100 Days—100 Imachinations” is considered the first big media art project to take place in public space in Egypt. The 100-day projection series will be projected live from the Internet on the BA Conference Center’s triangular wall facing the Corniche and will be changed daily, enabling the public to watch the show from there.
