Patients may evince personality alterations,
irritability, anxiety or depression early in the disease. Delusions,
hallucinations, aggression and wandering often develop in middle and late
stages. These behaviors are troubling to caregivers. They often lead to
family distress and nursing home placement with of course the patient's loss
of independence. |
